Well we got the old one is out and the used new one is in.We didn't have time to hook up all the hoses.I ended up cleaning the one I bought and painting it black. It took alittle while to dry.By the time we got it in it was like 11:30 pm.We will finish today. Is there anything we should be on the look out for once it is back together??

I ended up paying $250 at a salavage yard with a 90 day garuntee. The Bronco it came off of was very clean and had 89,235 miles on it.

Should I drain the gear fluid from the new one and replace it with new fluid ??

That'd be a good idea. I am pretty sure that regular maintanence on them is oil change every 30,000 miles.

I could be wrong, but you wouldn't know when it was last changed, if you didn't do it yourself.

Oh.. and check your brake cylinders for leaks. Just pull back the little caps on each end, if you see ANY fluid, rebuild or replace them.

Just a reminder; you will have to bleed them once you connect them up.
