Hi all,

I need to replace shocks on 74 EB.

cant really afford Rancho 9000 - i have heard 5000's can be harsh - was wondering whether anyone had experience with the Monroe shocks ? I only use the Bronco on street.

thx, Monza.

If all you are going to do is street, then yeah they will work. You take them to do any major trail riding and you run the risk of blowing one though. Might try and look into ProComps or Edlebrock shocks. I have run Rancho 5000 and comparable ProComps without much problem on the road, much better than the Monroe, but offroad they tend to bounce a little more than I like. But for road use, a RS 5k woudn't hurt.

Run Duff's 70/30's, they are priced right and do well on/off road.

I use them on both my Broncos cause I like the soft ride the give. If you want more responce you can run duals up front but it gets to be a stiff ride. Stay away from Rancho 5000's they will really cause a harsh ride.

THX

will look into them

i def want something that will hold a tight corner tho...

thinking about dropping her back down and coaxing some fat street power out of the 351

would be so cool to smoke the 'neon brigade' in a bronco... >:)

of course then i would need a second bronco for bouncing around the desert... :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
