Anyone know if you can clean a MAP sensor on an 89 5.0 Bronco?

Trying to pin-point the rough idle/acceleration issues I have from time to time.. already got my IAC out to be cleaned

I'd do the Self test for Codes first; if you did so, what are the Codes, if any?

Check for Vacuum leaks

Never saw a MAP cleaned article but you can test it

Operational Description, pic & Parameters Source: by Ryan M (Fireguy50) at http://fordfuelinjection.com/index.php?p=27

Testing, Symptoms & Overview; "...a multimeter that can read frequency is normally required to check the sensor

Havnt pulled any codes in the last few days. This issue has been prior (started after my 1200 mile road trip from an elevation of around 5,400ft to near 230ft - Left Denver to Sacramento on December 5th). When I arrived no codes - Havn't pulled codes in the past two weeks

I am going to pull codes today however. Last night was too cold and dark lol

Yeha I looked at it.. you're right - dead end.

I saw on some trucks, there is a peice that cmoes out that you can actually clean..ours doesn't really have anywhere to clean lol

However, I think I fixed my issue..turns out it was the cap and rotor. I replaced with new, did same test run with it, even let it idle for 20min and it just did its thing like it's ment to be! This summer comming up though, I'm just going to replace all the sensors..as the new crate motor I'm getting will need sensors on it anyway, might as well have fairly new stuff to just switch over.
