When I bought the bronco it has no exhaust past the convertors so after I got done with the 2wd conversion I bought a tailpipe and made a pipe to eliminate the muffler,it had a nice mellow tone that I liked until the pipe right after the rear convertor rusted off. I cut off the rear convertor and made up a pipe to replace it and decided on putting a muffler on it,I tried to find a performance muffler but all the parts store had was too short so I found one that would fit and now its too quiet. I am planning on a 351 swap in the future so I will plan on a good sounding exhaust system then.

yo JEFF,

I use Walker, who was and prob still is Ford's OE supplier (esp for our Broncos)

Use pn's and gOOgle for sources & prices; then try locally and have them beat or match prices.

Use aluminized or SS

btw, bought our 96 new and muffler, pipes and cats are still good to go!

Have replaced muffler strap & bracket and got it from ADV AUTO for under $10.00

I had that stock two pipe system and it had a real nice mellow sound to it.

Good luck,

:)>-

I would like to put a true dual exhaust on it but it only has a single O2 sensor,I might look into a late 80s crown vic computer and EFI harness since it has a sensor on each manifold if it stays a 302.
