low range button

i have a 94 with push button 4x4 and low range but the low range button or light does not seem to work the 4x4 works and lights up just fine ;) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

can you hear it clicking? like if u push the button does it click a few times in rapid time, have you pulled the switch and checked to see if it has any corrosion?

guys guys slow down dont pull any switches yet just put the truck in nuetral then put it in 4low it will go in i promise

well when i need 4wd i put it in park push 4x4 and let the light turn on and i here it click then i go but just recently i tried low range and i tried it in park neutral and while moving slowly and it was a no go so what is your exact process for putting it in 4low? thanks for all responces

well what i do is put it in 4high while in drive i dont know why just habit i guess but then i will put it in nuetral then shift it it in 4low if its not goin in then it sounds to me like u might have a vacuum line problem if thats the case i cant really help i dont know much about these 4 wheel drive systems its not like the old ones lol but if thats not the case then u might want to take the 4wheel drive computer up to ford and have them hook it up to there computers they will be able to tell u if its want to engage or not the computer is behind the passager side kick plate under the dash not hard to get to at all sorry i couldnt be more help but like i said i dont know much about these newer 4wheel drives i havent really had any problems with mine
