What size tires do you have on and what is the differential gear ratio? You may have a combination that provides poor torque.

Good luck,

Ok, it is not your tire / gear ratio selection. 31's shouldn't have a real effect on the power you feel. As far as starting out in 1st, even with a transmission as smooth as mine I can tell it shifts. You can tell that just by watching the RPM, if you have OD then you should feel the shifts or atleast be able to see the shifts in the Tac. OD would have 3 shifts and a non OD will have 2 shifts.

maybe its the torque converter? A while back my mechanic told me my torque converter was bad I figured this out when I tried to pull my friends 92' camaro but my truck wouldnt even budge or even spin tires.

when u are driving as Seabronc said what does the rpms read?? is the trans shifting through the gears...... 1st_2nd_3rd_4th i think the 92 should have the E4OD trans like mine and if u don't get it serviced every 30,000 miles the solnoids in the transmission stick and bad things happen. try bringing it to a trans shop and doing a trans filter and complete oil change on it. IF it is the torque converter that is bad most lickly your bronco would not move at all or bad noises would be present.....good luck

it has like 110,000 miles on it and it shifts hard when i slam on the gas like when im on the highway doin 55mph and I slam on the gas it usually goes up to about 4500-5000 RPM befor it shifts and when it does its kind of noticeable like it goes from a loud loud roaring to a silent coast.

The 92 E4OD,s are some of the first I think 91 was the first year of them they are known for being weak . In 95 ford did a bunch of updates to the tranny with 110,000 on it it is probably time for a rebuild especially if its had a rough life . The clutches are probably smoked in it . If I were you I would start looking for a 95 or up tranny and have it rebuilt rather than paying a bunch of money to update yours because if you have it rebuilt the way it is it will still be weak by design . So I would say best bet would be to put the money into a 95 or newer and check to see if the shop is going to charge you more if you supply the rebuid kit ( some do ) TCI has a pretty good kit as well as a shift kit to get rid of the Yuppy truck shift feel . :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Thanks for the help guys but I have one more question. Would it be better to get a new 351W or just have mine rebuilt?
