1988 Bronco.

Finally peeled the top off my "new" Bronco a: because it's fun and b: my passenger rear floor carpet got absolutely DRENCHED in the last rainstorm.

The weatherstripping on the hard top (where it marries up to the cab) is absolutely trashed. It's rotted out and rapidly disintegrating.

I went to Bronco Graveyard to track down a replacement, but I can't find a description that makes me comfortable with what I'm ordering. Does anyone know the actual part number from BG, or the specific name of what I might be looking for?

Secondly, is there a work-around? Has anyone used any "non-standard" replacements for that particular weatherstrip?

Thanks,

Lester

The last one was the one that really confused me (when I saw it the first time). I was thinking it might be the two weatherstrips that actually go on the cab. The 3rd link is MOST DEFINATELY what I was looking for (even though the pic is identical... which is weird, because I only see one piece of WS on the actual top, but two on the cab.)

Anyway... thanks. I know which one to order now. Also thanks for the side strip links. That would have been the next question, eventually. :)

The last one is not actually a piece of weather stripping. It is a safety cover for the sharp edge on the back of the cab so when the top is off and someone is getting in and out of the back seat they don't gauge their head on the edge.

Good luck,

Holy ***** that's RIGHT! (I got rid of my last Bronco in 1986.) My surprise comes from the fact that *this* Bronco has two pieces of weather stripping, one where it should be and the other on that edge. That explains why the lid didn't quite want to sit right.
