New to the sight and lovin' it so far. Proud owner of an '83 with the 300 inline 6. I will get some pics up as soon as I can but I'm warning you...this baby needs some work. I wasn't driving it much, so I let my ex-wife use it for a couple of months. Her car died , so I thought I'd be a nice guy. (I know, I know......I'm an idiot). She drove it awy........I towed it home. Here's a breakdown (No pun intended) of the condition it's in now: 4 bald tires, one of which is a spare on a plain rim. (The fourth rim and tire have yet to be accounted for). - Transmission adapter (intermediate housing) snapped in two. - Clutch.....What clutch? -Broken glovebox door - Rear fender curled under as a result of the "missing" tire coming apart. - The new carpet I put in......trashed by the "mechanic" that was going to "fix" the tranny for her. He got as far as dropping the tranny & transfer case then told her that it needed a new transfer case. That's when I got the call to come pick it up. - Less than 50 pounds of compression in cylinder #6. - Oil leaks everywhere and blow-by puking oil into the carb. But you know.........I still love her. The truck, not the ex!!! So needless to say, I have a lot of work to do. I thought about just parting it out but half the fun is putting these old stallions together. So go ahead.....rub my nose in my stupidity. I'll be back in the saddle soon and it wil be Justme&my83 riding off into the sunset!! :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
