I got a new one of these things the other day cuz mine is bad. Is this all a voltage regulator is? or is there more under this thing? i only got the thing with the plug on it.

Thats it the newer ones have the brushes attached to it as well .

Because i took it to an alternator place and they told me the voltage regulator was bad. so i went to oreiley and told them i need a new one. i just thought they might be bigger or something ive never seen one off of an alternator befor.
