Thanks for keeping us safe Craig.

Sorry that it looks like no one here can say that any one seat will fit.  I have found that seats can be the most complex of problems when building a custom vehicle.

Here are my 2 thoughts:  Find an early Ford PU in a salvage yard with a bench seat. Probably up to about mid 80 could work. You will have to get it reupholstered, but it will probably fit with the least modifications, if any.   If no luck there ... take some measurements and go searching the yards. Then fire up the welder, grinder and drill and make it fit.

Good Luck

Hi Craig, welcome..!

"Ditto" Rons points.

Changing seats requires a little.., or a LOT of fabrication.

A question that comes to mind..., why not use the back seat...??

If you don't have one, they're avail. new & used. The holes are there..,  & seat belt holes as well.

Probably a lot less expense & headaches.

Lastly, there's folks out there that would trade their EB bench seat for your buckets in a heart-beat... B)

Enjoy..,

OOPS.., sorry, I spaced the 1/2 cab part in first post.

Check me on this but I think all factory 1/2 cabs came with a bench seat.

Do the buckets look like orig. EB seats.?  i.e. lowback.., pass. seat folds forward to the dash, seats mount in factory bolt-holes, etc. ?

RU the 2nd. owner..?

If you post on all the EB websites, you'll likely hit on someone that will trade.

Another option is a used full top & the used back seat.  3 across on a bench can get crowded, esp. with a floor shift.

It was ordered with the bronco seats. Also unfortunately it has the 170 6cyl and a t handle transfer case. Good news it has Dana 44 in front. I had every registration since new and I am the second owner. I'm not worried about the 6cyl. I recently built a 292 Chevy straight 6 for my 53 Chevy pickup had 318 HP to the rear wheels when dynoed. The fords a little quirky but should be no problem to double output. I'm keeping the column shift. My kids love this truck and are gonna be helping me so the deal is for them helping I must get bench seat.

Great project..!!  You will all have a lot of fun..!!!

"Also unfortunately it has the 170 6cyl and a T-handle transfer case."

Not un-fortunate..... :D/   I have a slightly mod. Ford I-6 & out run most V/8's  /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

(You'll see in my sig. below)

The "T" handle is the best of the trans. case shifter options. (the later model "J" shift had issues)

The only improvement would be a twin stick. And/or cleaned so as to shift smoothy.

I'm gonna rebuild the 170, go with a header, 2 barrel Webber, Mallory electronic distributor, and gonna 0 deck block and shave head down to get compression to @ 9:1& maybe change valves to bigger, Clifford has a nice e kit. And I'm gonna do the twin sticks. Just ordered stock suspension but gonna do 1" inch body lift and leave it uncut.. oh and the front bench seat if I ever find one.

That's "KEWL" ..!

However, you've not mentioned what your gonna use this rig for.

4x4'n's not all 'bout power.  Torque, low end power curve & handling come into play.

As you prob. know, street is a whole diff. ball game.!

'Ole 6=8 is an alright guy but be careful.., he'll over-sell ya sometimes.. ;) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

You might want to fill-in your signature pages. This helps & encourages others to help with

any problems in the future. (what you have, what you've done, what you intend to do, etc.)

Good luck..,   ........ GO NAVY..!!
