I'm trying to finish the install of my 3 1/2" Wild Horses stage 7 lift today.

How do I get my new drop Pitman arm indexed in the correct location?

Also, we had to tighten the driver's side c-cap bolts with a cheater pipe to get them flush with the radius arm.

Is this normal?

Does it not have a "flat spot" on the (box) splines ..? If not, wheels straight ahead, count turns left/right then center with steering wheel.

Install pitman arm pointing straight back...pull left/right...it should stop with equal angles of straight back. If not, re-position a tooth or two 'til it's equal.

Position straight back & attach to tie-rod. Don't completely torque it 'til you're happy with position. (lastly, may need to pull steering wheel & square it up)

Yah, they take quite a pull but doing each a bit at a time helps. I also put a light coat of grease on my caps, arms, & bushings to help them blend together.
