well. the bronco wasnt running right at all on tuesday and it bogged out. so i pull over try to start it. it stars, idels, i try to give it gas and it bogs. this goes on for about 20 min then i finally get it moving. but it wont break 30. and tried to die a few times but i managed to keep it running. i get it home and take my mustang to the parts store and got a fuel filter, i had this problem in my rv so i figured that was it. i get a new filter on it start it up and let it idol for a while then try to move it. dies the second i give it gas. so i check the filter connection, the fuel lines for leaks or something that would let air in, make sure the pump is working. now im all out of ideas. it sounds like its starving for fuel but ive checked the system. any ideas

catalytic converter

after you keep it running for a while check the temp of your cat they would burn yer hands even new but might even be glowing cherry red another way to find out it drill a small hole in front of it and then drive if it runs noticably better but also louder then is cat as the hole allows exhaust to escape

A bit more easy way to check your cats is if you smell a bad sulfer smell from your truck, you know like that rotten egg smell you get after a hard night of drinkin? That's usually a pretty good indication that the cats are going bad or are already bad.

I would also check timing along with fuel pressure. Just tap the pressure ****** (looks like a tire stem) and see if fuel comes out. Be careful and don't let it go eveywhere creating a potential fire hazard. Also, I would recomend checking the condition of your spark plugs. See if they are wet with fuel or burnt or what and go from there.

Sounds more like a fuel delivery issue to me. I would bet you a beer it's the fuel pump or the relay for the fuel pump. I had a similar issue last month. Fuel pump now new. Let us know.

not only fuel pressure but volume as well will sound stupid but tap dance on the pedal if it still acts the same on acceleration but coasts fairly easy might also be fuel pressure regulator
