I m a novice mechanic, but using 77 Ford shop manual, been able to do some needed repair and replacment of parts on my aging 77 Bronco I have had since high school. Replaced tanks and hardware, repaired wiring in fuel guage circuit, changed leaking front seal, timing chain and gears, alternator, rebuilt brake system, and a few other things....Recurring aggravating problem--driving down road (hot or cold), engine sputters, stalls and quits like it starves for gas...starts right up and runs good up to about 50-55 and does same thing...starts and runs well on idle, only happens when in motion. Does not seem to matter when engine hot or cold when it happens. Had problem before over the years, always replaced ignition module and seems to go away for a while but then comes back...don't think it is ignition module...just recently replaced all ignition parts (plugs, cables, ignition coil, module, wiring) except distributor...thought initially maybe bad fuel pump but don't think so now, thinking about changing out magnetic pick-up/stator and armatur/reluctor.....anyone have any thoughts....anyone have same exact symptoms on a 77...has Duraspark II ignition system...breakerless distributor...

your truly,....grasshopper (for the grasshopper green color of my truck)
