I have a 1975 Bronco with a 302 Duraspark I system. I made the mistake of thinking that a Duraspark II contol module from an early 80's Bronco would be a better ignition module, and I just plugged it into my existing wiring. After it did not work I went back to my original equipment module from 1975 (I bought a new one), and I also replaced the original coil with an aftermarket one (flamethrower). I just checked the power going into the distributor and the power going to the coil, both lighted up, telling me the module and wiring to my ignition parts are working???? My plug wires are still without spark, my question? Does that mean my pick-up coil in my distributor is most likely not working? And another question? The 1975 Duraspark system did not use a ballast, can I even use an aftermarket coil by using the same 2 wires that went into my old coil and not use a ballast? Any information would be greatly appreciated to get my bronco running again

If there was not a ballast resister, then there most likely was resistance wire in the circuit similar to Duraspark II. It could very likely be the pickup. Do you have diagram for the Ignition?
