idler problem

when i go in reverse it like to konk out if i dont give it gas it was real bad when i first got it and if you dont drive it every day the next day it will rev as if it is cold and this was in 90 degree weather what is the problem

90 degrees is cold for an engine. Normal operating temp is between 185 and 200 degrees. So you might expect cold idle for a short time but it should go into normal hot idle shortly. If not then you may have a sticking TPS. What year truck and what engine?
