i want to go to 38.5 but worried about the gas milage

i really want to upgrade to 38.5 but i am real worried about gas, i drive my bronco everday and i have 35 and then when i go mudding i got some 36 inch tsl's or my boggers that are 35 also but the threads are wearin real low so its time for some new ones ne ways and i really want to get some height ... if i got some 38.5 , i would like some input if ne one else has 38 and drive theirs every day and thats what i would want them for everyday thanx

38's = bad gas. Theres nothing you can do. But what the ****, get them anyway. I wants 38's as well. You can increase your fuel mileage by driving nice and by stuffing in lower gears. 4.88's are sweet for 38's. 5.13's would be my other choice

Why not sell the 36s, get some 35 all terrains for everyday, and get your 38s for mudding? (side note: dude you drive a bronco, you want gas mileage then get a honda civic and use the bronco when you need it)

Another thing to consider is running that big of tires everyday just puts more leverage on your steering and suspension components, and engine and tranny wearing them out even faster, another reason to go for some lower rolling resistance tires like ATs in a 35 for everyday.

I might be a little off topic here but remember a really aggresive tire on a DD wont last long. I agree use an A/T for M-F and save the slingers for playing.

yeah ... thats what i run now for gas is some pro comp all terrieans 35 inch ... and i have the 36s for mudding
