[-o< Hey Guys can any one tell me where I can find some cheep horse power tricks for a 96 FSB 5.8 Eddie Bauer? I n the mustang world there's all kinds of cheep horsepower ticks for example: removing the air silencer is worth approx 5 hp, bumping the timing is worth approx 5-10hp, etc, etc, etc. So if you guys know of any proven tricks or know where I can find some on the forum, please let me know. I did a search but didn't find anything. The only thing I have done to mine so far is a simple K&N Filter.

Two things that give higher horse power to the wheels and improve economy at the same time are electric fan and electric water pump. However, you can't be cheap. You need a real high CFM fan arrangement in the range of 4000 CFM + and an electric water pump arrangement that is rated for full time operation. I have a Lincoln Mark VIII fan from a 4.6L engine in mine but that requires a alternator upgrade, preferably to a G3. I have yet to do the water pump, but that will come next spring. I am also experimenting with acitone as a fuel additive which gives better vaporization ergo a better burn ergo cleaner burn and less fuel required to get the same power.

wow never heard of acetone as a fuel additive, like to hear more about that! Sounds very interesting. does it do any damage to internal engine parts?

I have plans for the exhaust: X-pipe, dual catback set up, high flow cats.

Does anyone make underdrive pulleys for it?

Does any of the lightning parts fit/work?

Like to hear more if anyone has any other tips

No dammage it is in very small percentage 1 to 3 oz per 10 gal. I haven't been able to give it a good milage test yet but I can definately tell the difference. I have a link to a white paper on the subject. I'll post it as soon as I can find it.

There is quite a bit of contreversy over acitone in fuel but mainly from the gas producers.

OK here is the link http://www.lubedev.com/articles/
