hey y`all. i got a 1981 with a 300 in it and i need some help figuring this one out. the 4 lines comming off the portage valcume switch are broken off. i need to know where they go to starting with the top going to the bottom. i`m gonna need to try and find me one at a junk yard i recon. thanks Bill

Welcome to Bronco Zone!!! See if you have a vacuum diaqram on the top of the core support. IF it's gone . you might look for the link to Miesk5's Homepage in the Tech Articles forum. There are tons of links to Bronco-related items, just go to the vacuum diagram section or engine section. A Haynes or Chilton's repair manual may also be of some help, JSM84

The locations are different for different engines and model years. A 4 port Ported Vacuum switch is actually 2 two port switches stacked. The color of the switch indicates the temperature at which it opens. Below a given temperqature there is no vacuum to whatever it is that they are being used to control. Like Justshootme84 said, the diagram for your truck should be located on the radiator core support. If you can post a picture of it we can help you understand what should be connected to what.

i`ll have to get me a picture taken of it. i`ll post it on here when i get the picture. i found a bronco in the junk yard and i`m gonna run down there and get the front fenders off of it and the tailgate. will keep ya posted
