i have a 1993 bronco. whenever i drive it there is a squeaking coming form the front end or the driveshaft. i cant tell exactly where form while i am driving, you really only hear while you foot is on the gas. to go along with that there is a hard clicking noise that i can feel in the pedals. i am in the military and live on base so i dont have a whole lot of access to a garage. there is a auto hobby shop on base where i can work on my truck myself. but i want to know what i am getting myself into before i start ripping s**t apart. please help me, i am begging all of you. thanks.

almost sounds like a hub might be giving you trouble. you'll need the tool to remove the nuts that hold the spindle on. If you plan to keep the rig it is worth buying on rathewr than renting it. I would go ahead and pick up spare nuts, seals, bearings, and washers, best to have as spares if you don't need them when you take it apart. you should also check the strut rod bushings and such for loosness. thats about all I can say with out knowing more details or seeing it. Hope this helps (best to buy a good repair manual also). :-B

Certainly could be one of the 4WD hubs going out, or a wheel bearing. THere are also some u-joints on the front axle shafts that can wear our or need grease. Try checking for the noise by placing a jack under one side, and moving the wheel in all directions. There should be no slack up-and-down or side-to-side. IF there is, you may need new bearings and/or ball joints. You can remove the allen screws from the hub cover, and check the grease inside the hub. IF it gets hard or dry, the hub will give you fits.

Is it full time 4wd? After you check the bearings, add some grease to the CV on the driveline. This is always overlooked.

Try gobbing some grease on the ball with you finger. Have someone push the truck forwards while you apply grease or disconnect the driveline so you can rotate it to get the grease into it. Then grease all zerk fittings. Check driveline u-joints (might as well pull them off) test drive.
