HOW BIG CAN I GO WITH MY TIRE SIZE IF I HAVE A STOCK 78' BRONCO WITHOUT A LIFT?

I managed to fit 38x10.5x15 Super Swamper TSL's on my 79 Bronco. However major fender cutting was required and it still has slight clearance problems. You would probably be OK with 33's or 35's if you don't want to **** your fenders.

Do I need to have a certian offset rim to clear my frame rails or are the fenders my only concern? I would really like to go without cutting up the body. Its going to be more of a road rig than an off-road one. Just want to be able to do a little off-roading.

The 38" tires on my rig rub up against the inner part of the fender like crazy. I was thinking about getting spacers, if they even make them for Broncos.
