Hood and rear hatch props

Hi,

I just bought a 1972 Bronco and would like to replace the hood rod with gas struts and I would also like the gas struts on the rear hatch. I got all the measurements for the struts and I made the brackets but I am not sure what poundage rating I should buy. I was going to get 120 lbs for the hood and 80 for the hatch. Does anyone know what rating I should get?
