i dont blame you man. a bronco is my dream and i cant wait to get one. i dont even spend a penny savin up for my bronco. i heard somewhere that there are spark plugs that help fuel economy. and thanks to the mythbusters, it is more economical to drive with windows up and air on versus air off windows down.

Im in the same situation, some of these cold air intakes claim to give better gas milage but for me the best way is to give it slow acceleration and coast to the stops.

I thought that was only with speeds 45 and up?

The best way to improve the mileage is to hang a bicycle rack on the back!!

Check the hubs after driving & if they are real hot, the brakes may be dragging. I've been told plastic pistons in the calipers are bad about this. You can get steel pistons or replace caliper with rebuilt using steel pistons. Also, I don't think a Ford caliper "floats" very well compared to a GM.

I've read in this forum that a high quality ignition with wide gap plugs helps fuel mileage. Combine this with a low restriction air filter.

Also read here that disabling air pump will go against you. Good luck.

broncos and gas milage have never been good. they're heavy and have the arodynamics of a brick, but thats what makes them tough.
