High idle on 85 bronco II

So Im about to buy a 85 Bronco II from a guy. It runs god but it idles really high. Any idea what it might be? and how serious and hw much $ we talkin?

how high, and did u let it sit running for over 30 seconds cuz mine idles around 15-2000 around there then goes down to about 6-700 so start it and let it run then wait a minute if it doesnt go down adjust the idle.

It doesint go down. not sure how high but its up there. And im not to mechanical literate lol.

Let it idle for about 30 seconds and gun the throttle just kick the pedal and let go. mine starts at about 1500 and if you kick it it falls to about 800

if its EFI it most likely needs an IAC valve (idle air control valve) / if its got a carb. the choke is most likely sticking
