hey i'm kinda new to this whole truck thing lol  like almost completely clueless.. i've had my bronco for about 2 years, (its a '95 bronco xlt) and i just put a 6 inch suspension lift on it about a month ago. i want to get new rims and tires but i'm not sure what's good or what i should get. i have 31in. bf goodrich all-terrains on there now and they look pretty small after i got the lift put on, i definitely want to go bigger. i was hoping to get 37s but i'm not sure if that would fit on only a 6 inch lift? i was looking at the super swamper SSR radials for the tires but they're pretty expensive, i just liked how they looked : )i was also wondering what size rims would be good. should i get 15 or 17? and 10.5 or 12.5? i dont really care about brand names or anything, but i want it all to look good and work well. the next thing i wanted to change was the exhaust. i just want it to be louddd, but i have no idea what to get or even look for for that either..

let me know if anyone could help me out with some information! thanks so much <3

Welcome to the Zone > . Nice truck :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

If I were to put 37s or even 35s on, I'd probably go with a larger wheel like a 17 inch. I think the 33 inch tires on 15 inch wheels looks OK but would look nicer on a larger wheel. That's just my personal feeling and each to their own. Going larger in tire size will also require a gearing change or the truck will be a power DOG. Which means you will have to change both front and rear differential gears, ( around $500 - $600 parts plus labor), and with the 37s probably 4.11, (that will put you at around 2400 RPM @ 65 MPH), you will get other suggestions on gearing and it depends mainly on how you will be primarily using the truck. As far as tire width, I personally think 35 to 37s would look a little skinny with 10.5. I'm not even sure you could get 37s in 10.5 any way. A nice set of 17" 5-5.5 wheels will cost about $150 each and the tires will run you around $325 each. If you shop around, you probably can do a little better.

Mufflers are another story. Prices vary all over the place, I just paid $75 for a series 50 Flowmaster with 2.5 in input and 2.5 inch output. I immediately went out and bought a resonator tip because of the tinny sound component in the Flowmaster. Having spent the money, I'm keeping it but if I decide to change the system again, I'll look at some other system, like the one Broncobill78 suggested in another post, don't have thelink handy but I'm sure he will add it along with his .02 on this subject :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> . That is plenty loud for me, but your choices are almost countless as are the opinions on what sounds the best.

Hope that helps, at least food for thought and you can spend as much as you can afford on it and then some $-)

Good luck,

:)>-

Going with bigger rubber after a big lift is a good idea, especially for the obvious looks reason. With a 6" lift 35's would end up having the same appearance the 31's had on the stock suspension, 37's would fill out the wheel wells, but then you are looking a possible clearance issues. A good rule of thumb with rims is to go no more than 1/2 the size of the overall tire diameter, so 17's would work with either size. Just make sure to go with a 10" or 12" rim width, probably more like 10". Super Swamper makes an SSR in both the 35" and 37" size at a 12.5" width, anything thinner would look quite silly unless you are doing mud drags and wanna slice through the stuff instead of floating on it. Not to mention, as tire that thin with a lift that big would compromise any kind of stability (the Bronc's tend to be a little top heavy and hairy on off-camber situations). As far as exhaust, consider a performance muffler that will rumble when you tromp on it and hum at road speeds, helps keep the law man off your back. Consider also interior resonation if you do a lot of longer highway driving, a nice rumble is nice, but not for hours at a time, I had to learn that one the hard way on a few family trips. Hope this helps.
