Hi all!

I hope you guys can help me. I have an 88 Fullsize with a new crate motor. It is EFI. Its been in there for about a year and a half. Last December, I put a new MAP sensor in to fix the stalling and idling issues. My problem now is that it hesitates pretty bad on take off and up around 2000 rpm. After that, it seems normal. No codes are coming up and I'm just lost. The air filter is fine and I've replaced the fuel filter. Any help or a direction to go in would be awesome! :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Thanks!

Adrienne

Have you tried running some injector cleaner and checking the fuel filter?

Good luck,

Yes. It definetly runs better with the cleaner in it. I put the new fuel filter on about a month ago. The old one was really bad.

From the sound of it, it is a fuel supply problem. It is a little annoying to people around you, but a can of Seafoam might be in order. It makes a lot of smoke while it is doing it's thing but it does a good job of cleaning the system out. There is a lot of information about using it on the net, I have used it and I know a lot of other people have. It can be put in the gas for the injectors and also sucked into the intake, just follow the directions on the can. If that doesn't clear it up, then you need to start looking at other things that effect the fuel / air mixture.

Good luck,

Also, on that comment, you may have crap in the tank that is clogging the system. Check the new one and see what the condition is.
