Hey Ya'll. From Ohio, now Colorado. 93 Full, OJ white! Want to lose the hard top (best place to sell?) and put on a soft somewhat secure replacement. Anything of value comes and goes with me so que sera sera. I don't want to spend too much, just want to have a convenient camping vehicle or top down when I want it. Must be rain/snow proof. She's already the dog vehicle, now want to turn her into the fun-mobile. Summer love machine but still the bad-ass look.

thanks in advance,

BT

My Bronco is OJ white too!

http://www.thejeep.com/stc/bronco.html

The link above has Bronco tonneau's for sale, but they don't recommend them for '92 and later because of the high-mounted brake light in the camper top. They answer the reason why in their FAQ:

Q. I have a 1992-1996 Ford Full Size Bronco and my Hard Top and body is just like the 1980-1991 models, Why does your catalog list a top for 1980-1991 Ford Broncos and not the 1992-1996 Ford Broncos ?
A.  You are right the body and hard top is the same,  Except for ONE thing. All 1992 and after Bronco's had Hard Top Mounted 3rd. Brake lamps mandated by Federal DOT regulations. The STC soft top does not have any provisions for installing or relocating the 3rd. brake light therefore the top can not be advertised for sale on 1992-1996 models. The 1980-1991 STC soft top will fit these vehicles but can only be offered for sale in non DOT markets for 1992-1996.
Off-Road.com has this to say about rag tops in their Big Bronco FAQ:

6.2 Can I get a soft top for my Bronco?Yes.  Soft tops are available in 3 different styles.  First is a jeep-type soft top with a frame that has the same interior volume as the hard top.  Second is a tonneau cover that runs along the steel/fiberglass boundary.  Kinda makes the truck look like a very short bed pickup with a "racerback" type fairing.  The third that I'm aware of is a two part tonneau cover that consists of a bulkhead piece and a tonneau piece.  The bulkhead closes off the back of the cab and extends from the roof line to the floor, leaving the Bronco like an open bed pickup.  The second piece covers the bed, similar to the one-piece tonneau cover.

Style number one is made by Kayline.  Number two is made by Skyler.  Number three is made by (or for) K Bar S.

6.3 How come there isn't a soft top available for 92+ Broncos?

In 1992 Ford added a high mount third brake light to the fiberglass top. They also added shoulder belts for the back seat passengers. The shoulder belt mounting points are attached to the fiberglass top. Because of these new safety features, top manufacturers will not recomended that the top on 92-96 Broncos be removed. The soft tops for earlier models WILL FIT 92 and newer Broncos, but the third brake light will be removed with the hard top, and back seat passengers will be without seatbelts.

Because the hardtop on '92 and newer Broncos contains safety items (brake light, seatbelt mounts), soft top manufacturers and Off-Road.Com do not advocate removing it.
The price runs between $400 and $500, depending on which model you pick. Check eBay too tho, cause I just saw a brand new one go for $300 last week.

Hope that helps!

you can relocate the third brake lite to the trailer hitch if you've got one(reese style). although it's not mounted high- it gets around the third brake lite law... stubby
