Help needed with tailgate

Hello!

I have a 1988 Ford Bronco that needed the latch controller replaced.  How does one hook up the rods that go to the latch controller?  Thank You!

Please don't attach your problems to someone else's posts, that is called thread hijacking.  In case you didn't notice that thread was 11 years old.  One problem per post thread and no thread hijacking   >-  .  

You may need new Latch rod retainers.  From what I remember from playing with rod retainers, is that they go on the end of the rod first and then inserted into the hole in the latch along with the end rod.  I could be wrong, alternatively insert the retainer in the hole and then insert the end of the rod.  One of those methods should work.  Check this picture in the LMC Truck catalog.
