are the bulbs burning out or is the breaker clicking off? also does it change if you use high beams instead of low or vice versa?
and do you only have to change that one head light to turn everything back on?
from what I can gather the only place where the headlight and tail light wiring is even remotely close to each other is directly at the switch and at the left or drivers side front running light.
from the switch power goes to the high-beam selector then down the appropriate wire to the headlights completely isolated from the running lights.
my best guess is to remove the light switch from the dash and inspect the wires for any cracked or wore down casings that may be exposing wires.
if you don't see anything start poking around the drivers side running lights, in the engine compartment on the drivers side, the brown wire that goes to the front running lights splits off to the trailer wiring harness and the rear left tail light. find those wires ( specificly the one that goes to the tail lights) and see if it crosses a head light wire where the casing is cracked or wore down shorting out with a headlight wire.
double check that all of your grounds are 100%
that's the only thing I can think of that will affect only the headlights and rear taillights.
good luck.
