Hey guys,

I seem to have an electrical issue with the ol' Bronco. As I'm driving along (probably all the time, but I notice it at night) the headlights will sometimes flicker (actually turn off and on) Sometimes they even turn off. I found that if I pull the fog light switch, the headlights come on again!

The other thing is that you can pull the headlight switch out (there are 2 positions) Should the first position only turn on the parking lights and the second position only turn on the headligths?

Do all of these trucks have have a mess for an electrical system? Maybe mine was screwed around with. I don't know.

Thanks for any suggestions on where to start, how to fix it or any type of help at all.

Pete

Pete, the older Broncs have the marker lights come on at the first position of the switch, they will go out with the second pull.

How are your fog lights wired?? They should be independant of the headlights.

I would recommend checking the wiring at the high beam selector switch on the floor, if your lights flicker on and off this

will be the usual suspect.

Thanks Drew. I'm 8000 kilometers away and I'm still thinking about this truck! haha.

The fog lights came with the truck, at this point I haven't traced anything. I will trace all of that when I get back. From what I can see, the wiring by in this truck is sloppy. It will take a while to sort out, but that is the fun in it..........right?!?? haha
