header problem

when i go to put my headers on there is the egr and its a problem i dont have headers with the egr hook up so i need another way around this problem so ideas would be helpful thanks.

how about drilling a whole and installing a pipe to adapt the egr to shouldnt be that hard to do

well see i thught of that but the pipe i got is 21/4 the pipe for the egr is 23/4 so that cant happen

I did this exact thing on my bronc. I took the headers down to a local shop had them weld on a small tube to do some custom fitting for the EGR. $20 later emmisions legal headers....

And Why would the EGR pipe be any bigger than stock??

thanks for the post and honestly i have no idea why the pipe is bigger but it is so thanks for all the post been very helpful i feel better about jumpin into this project now thanks again.

Post up a pic of what you are refering to as the EGR tube there is no way that the EGR tube is 2 3/4" in diameter the only pipe on the Bronco that big is the exhaust pipes from the end of the manifolds to the rear

Just buy an egr block off plate.They are only like $15-$20 or so_Otherwise welding into the header you have to worry about rusting out that spot faster or other problems due to the tubes being so thin.
