Got a 95 5.8L, going to put headers on it, and my mechanic neighbor says to use copper gaskets. They seal better & last longer. I can't seem to find any place that has them for a 351w of my year. alot of people say to use graphite, not copper or aluminum. I'm getting confused! Does anybody have experience with these gaskets, or have any opinions? I don't want to use a inferior gasket. Only want to do this job once.

Thanks!!

I would say no to the copper gaskets my experience with them was that they are very thin and have like an oring stamped in them that is supposed to crush and seal the 2 surfaces mine leaked worse than if I had used none at all . I have been using EARLS gaskets that summit carries and havent had one leak yet they are a graphite foil seal with an aluminum frame and work very well in my opinion . The part number for what you need is EAR-29D03AERL and there $37.69 through summit . :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
