Not sure of the bolt head size, but if you borrow a complete set of sockets you should be OK. You will also need a pulling tool to remove the vibration damper and a tool to replace it with. I would replace this part also since you have it off, the rubber is probably pretty old and stiff.

If you can, I would recommend that you borrow the B section of the shop manuals from someone and follow the prodeecure including the proper torque settings when reinstalling parts.

Good luck,

:)>-

I need a guestion anwsered about the harmonic balancer. I am going to look at a 1985 Bronco tomorrow afternoon her in Florida. The owner was asking $800.00 but due to the city getting on his case about a parked vehicle in his driveway without a tag he has dropped the price down to $500.00 I talked with the owner over the phone you know how that is! and he says the only thing wrong with the Bronco is the starter seleniod is burned out and the rubber in the HARMONIC BALANCER in dry rotted and coming out causing the motor to vibrate. I plan on going to look at the vehicle taking a starter seleniod with me to start the motor and check out the Bronco. My question is if the vehicle checkes out okay and I do find that the Bronco vibrates and that its pretty clear that its the Harmonic Balancer could I get away with replacing it. Is so, I could come out with a pretty good Bronce with a rebuilt 351 within the past year and a half. It appears that they used the same harmonic balancer when the motor was rebuilt from what the owner has said and again thats over the phone. But I am sick of going to look at 1986 - 1985 Bronco's over the past few days to find they are ragged out and headed to the junk yard. This Bronco is said to have only some minor surface rust in a FEW SPOTS and new 33 tires and Alu. Wheels. I don't care about surface rust because I plan on painting it Green for the woods in North Fla. and South GA. Also I have never owned a Ford/Bronco only Jeeps and Chevy Blazers (1970 - 1972) models the best for blazers. Hower I really like the look and power tran of the Ford Bronco.
