I don't know if anyone has seen one of these, but I just ran across it while searching for soft top options. If it works as good as it says it does, Might just be worth it. Its a real pain taking the top off mine, especially since I'm short and usually nobody is around to help when I want to do it.

Hmmm do you have a garage?

I'd just go to harbor fright or something and get some or A winch of some sort, secure it to a beam (make sure it's not just a 2x4 nailed in place!) and use a four point harness to lift the top up an in the air.

You could leave it there (if practical or high enough) or move the bronco out of the way, lower the hard top onto a four set of wheels and roll it to the back yard. Cover with a tarp or let be - makes a great dog house. I actually almost bought one for $20 on craigslist just so I could use it as a dog house. Cover up the back end, throw some hay in there, and the dog has a nice warm place to sleep, with windows so I could keep my eye on em :-& #036;

Yeah, would definately go in the garage. It's a pretty neat idea, but I'm sure I can come up with something a **** of alot cheaper. Seeing how after some measuring, my truck wont fit in the door, so looks like I'm stuck carrying it anyway..

Well no problem if you kept it outside.. the hard top is always exposed outside anywho.

THe link didn't work for me.. (copy n pasted) so I couldn't see the exact setup.

If I was to put it outside tho, I'd get a mesh tarp, and build a nice V shaped roof with a all weather tarp over it so that way moister isn't trapped on the inside of the hrad top. Mesh tarp would allow it to breath, and keep pretty much everything off it, and a normal tarp over it would provide protection against rain/snow and deflect most wind.

I hear ya. Have a few months to work out the details, (too cold for the soft top yet), just trying to weigh out my options. I cant keep it at home, (APT), so I have to trust it at my parents or a friends. Either way, I have this horrible fear of either the dogs jumping on it, or one of my friends falling through it in a drunken stuper. Kinda why I'm leaning on the garage beams.

I have a number of various (complexity, Cost, etc.) Top Lift/storage Links in my Site.

Specifically @

http://www.broncolinks.com/index.php?index=475

a cheap and quickie one is

Lift, one man

Source: by Mark C at http://www.icehouse.net/mchristy/remtop.html

A complex & a bit costlier version is

Lift, one man in a 90

Source: by 90Beater (Topher, Chris) at http://bronco.tophersworld.com/writeup_top_lift.htm

See the others too and decide what you want to spend on materials or have on-hand to fab.

All very good suggestions. Was kinda wondering if something like that would work. Going to start taking some measurements this week. Pretty sure I can get a honda accord under it in the low garage, the catch is getting the Bronco in the garage. Worse comes to worse, a case of beer usually makes people show up when I'm working on something. And since I'm buying the soft top, It only has to go up or down once a year. Thanks for the links Miesk5, gonna come in handy when I start rigging it up.

Anyone know of any kind of kits you can get to clean of the trim, weather stripping areas, and trunk areas that become arm rest to make them more uniform to the rest of the interior and exterior? I thought someone mentioned something like that...
