Did you back off on your self adjusters?

No wait that wouldn't make sense because if they were too tight you woldn't be able to get the drums back on.

Did you bleed the system?

IF you have air in the lines, that could give you uneven braking, (and a spongy pedal)

Also you may want to lift the boots on the wheel cylinders to see if they are leaking and need to be replaced or rebuilt.

thanks for suggestions but everything from front to back is new. It turned out to be the new drums were out of round. Yes new drums all six of them!!! I went through six different ones and started to second guess my diagnios but a trip to the machine shop revealed that the brand new drums needed to be turned

and some people beleive you can get BAD-NEW PARTS----I HAVE SEEN IT MORE THEN ONCE. Alos you might want to think about replaceing NEW BRAKE HOSES AFTER A FEW YEARS--BECAUSE RUBBER BRAKES HOSES DO BREAK DOWN ON THE INSIDE AND CAUSE THE BRAKES TO GRAB FORM WHEEL TO WHEEL. Just a reminer. Thanks for the hub information-another eye opener
