Does anyone kow where I can get a good reliable starter?

Sure...! Look in the yellow pages for the oldest, most reliable starter/elect. motor re-builder there in Dallas.

2nd. best would be NAPA auto parts.

3rd. would be a new one fr. FORD....but pricy.... /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

You could also get a remanufauctered one. If you look in the yellow pages you should be able to find some. Most of them will come bench tested and with a warranty so you shouldn't have anything to worry about. The price is lot better than buying one from the dealer
