 Does anyone know the trick (if there is one) to install a new glove box liner in my 74 Bronco? I think I have exhausted all avenues for installation short of dismantling/removing the dash. I'm just about ready to cut the insert in half, then install and glue it together again. Thanks for any advise you may offer.

They are a pain. It is almost as easy to pull the heater box & get it in. Try taking the heater hoses off & working it in that way if you haven't already.

Kinda depends on the year & style/mfgr.

What worked for me was to fold-in (colapse) the sides a bit & slip it in from the front.

As it passes the *****-holes., it pops back into shape....then can be worked into place.

This may leave a visible crease but.., who cares. :-"

I think I took out the ashtray and worked it across from under the dash, its a tight fit either way you look at it.

I just cut some thick cardboard for the back and bottom pieces and glued'em in. Not fancy but it works.

Thanks for the tips. I think I'll try the fold/collapse idea. If it don't work then cut and glue will be next. Like someone said it only a cardboard box, sooo here we go!
