In addition to getting more air in and out of the engine, you may look at a camshaft swap. Ford fuelinjection.com used to have some info on intake mods and cam selection, or you might check with Crane on their offerings. The Speed Density system in your 94 will not allow a mjor cam swap, so you might also look at converting to MAF (mass air flow) which was offered on 95/96 and Calif. models. A tranny shift kit will also help out with better performance on the Bronco if you have the E40D auto, along with an external tranny cooler. That's about the extent of mods I know of, short of swapping to a 460 cid motor, JSM84

switch too obd 2 and get a programmer jet makes some realy good ones i got about 90 horse and 50 torque out of mine but wont work unless you have obd 2 they make some piggy back chips for other systems that are good to though but they only give you about 30-40 horse or a throttle body spacer could be another option there only about 140

Depending on how long you plan on keeping your truck..just buy a new motor lol

I'm getting mine from ford motorsports - 340hp and 310tq stock. That will not only get you a boot in power, but a brand new motor..and if your truck is in decent shape, it'll be like buying a new car

I would think for a programmer to do much you would need the other mods mentioned, cam, exhaust.

Your 94 has a pretty good cold air intake from the factory. An under hood cone filter will just cost a bunch of money a draw more hot air from under the hood.

not in the horsepower aspect but it seems gears always get over looked.
Gears are good..but at the end of the day, most use is the typical person. Mostly city with a amount of offroad time. Depending ont he use of the truck, motor mods are mostly needed and the best bet for the typical joe.

That is true Adam I think JSM has given the best advice with cams. The only other options I can think of are fuel delivery mods and pulley upgrades. What exactly are you looking to accomplish with your upgrades more pulling power, more speed, better reaction times, or Gas mileage?

if you want more speed buy a sports car. if you want better mileage...buy a small car. pulling power and throttle response is more attainable. different gears will give you balls for towing. upgraded ignition, exhaust and intake will give you better throttle response.

hahah then again you can just run some race/jet fuel through it and see a difference.
