i'm chasing down a fuel issue from back to front and the lock ring was rusted out along with the ears for the lock ring on the tank, i can get a used tank for 25** but it's a 88' and i know it supposed to be from 90' to 96' but is there any chance an 88' will fit, and #2 is should gas trickle out from the pump with key on or kinda blast out?

my name is mudd

87 to 90/91 had 2 pumps in the system a low pressure in the tank and a high pressure in the frame rail by the ABS pump . Yours being a 92 should have a single high pressure in the tank so if the hole is the same size in the tank make sure you use your pump and you should be all set . Physically the tanks from 1980 to 1996 will fit in the frame thier the same back there . But the earlier ones had a small hole for just the sending unit . :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

how do i test the fuel pump for continuous power? i have drained my gas into a 5 gal bucket and put the fuel pump in it, turned the key on and it comes out about 2" straight and arches down, if i jumper the relay for continuous flow will that work?

trying to determine bad fuel pump, clogged line er what. either way my gas was cloudy and no signs of water, all to carry back to my fuel problem i've had.

my bad dumb ? i guess i just need to hold the key as if i was cranking it, now... there is a steady stream, but is it enough?

camera is dead, but will post video for you. that way it'll be easier, i did find out that only some times when i turn the key on does the pump cut on. now earlier i had it running while i was trying to crank it, but now nothing when i try to crank it, and only sometimes when i turn the key to on. being the lines are not hooked up have any effect on that? i would think the i should pump as long as the motor is turning over
