For a quick reference, look on the inside of the fuse panel cover, or the black plastic lid over the fuse box. It should have a diagram of the fuse locations, what they are for, and the size they should be. You need to find out why the AC circuit keeps blowing fuses, though, if it was bypassed. A short in the wiring could possibly cause a fire, or at the very least burn up more wiring.

Fuse #6 for the AC clutch is a 15 amp unit.

yep, could be that the A/C clutch coil is shorted; and as just advised, other wiring shorts.

Fuses are designed as a failsafe to electrical loads, uping the amps will not damage anything. Fuses should be atleast 3 times the wires amperage.

If you have a problem that is causing fuses to ***** upping the amperage may work in the short term. But just like house wiring, incrasing a fuse presents a potential fire hazard. If the short is a high resistance short, the result is excesive heat and FIRE.

A fuse should definately NOT be 3 times the rating of the wire. It should never exceed the safe rating of the wire so if the wire that it is connected to is rated at 15 amps, putting a 25 amp fuse in is asking for a fire. Find out what the problem is and fix it, but it is your truck :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> . They are there for two purposes; 1. to prevent a fire and 2. to protect the attached equipment.

Good luck,

:)>-
