I went to replace my fuel pump relay on my 90 bronco 351 and noticed I had a broken wire so I bought a new connector with harness so I could just splice it together but then i noticed There was 5 wires going into the relay from the old harness but there is only 4 on the new one so I guess what im asking could it be the wrong connector or could be a different design the connector its self is green or could it be possible its not even the fuel pump relay harness that needs replacing.

yo,

In your year, the FP relay is Green and EEC Power Relay is Brown

Look @ wire colors, assuming a po or shop didn't rig it up

here is a wiring diagram showing both Relays;

Wiring Diagram in a 90

Source: by Seattle FSB (SeattleFSB) at http://www.supermotors.net/registry/media/854315

other diagrams, such as by Chilton show 5 wires to the EEC Power Relay (two Yellow instead on one; could have been a Ford change using the relay instead of a splice for the yellow)

I'll try & find the othewr relays' diagrams; but info from other owners is sketchy due to rig jobs through the years; maybe someone else here can post the info up for you.
