I am unclear on what your issue is. When it won't start is it becuase it doesn't crank?
Will it always start if you jump the fender mounted starter relay?
When it won't crank did you ever try holdint the shift lever higher into park? IF so did that work?
The last time she started, was when I jumped the starter relay. I will start from the beginning. As it sits right now:
I can turn the key all the way to start, the engine turns over but will not start. I tried pulling up on the shift lever, still nothing. So I tried to jump it from the starter relay again just to move it out of the standing water, now it still will not start. The reason I think it is a fuel problem is because I can turn it over as long as the key in in start usually no more than about 10-15 seconds. I cannot smell gas, not even a little.
From what I have read please correct me if I am wrong, I can ground the fuel pump relay terminal on the self test connector, and I should be able to read 12v at the Pink and black wire at the pump correct?
Presuming the ground is good, as the fuel gauge sender and pump are grounded together correct? ( my fuel gauge works)
If not, I should be able to get it back at the inertia switch, or the inline fuel pump. If that doesn't work out I should be able to get 12v at the brown wire on the fuel pump relay.
If ALL of those fail I have one yellow wire left on the fuel pump relay.
If I don't have 12v there it is going to be a a bad fused link "M".
Sound about right?
And thanks for working with me on this thing. I hope to get it repaired soon.
