I doubt that you will get any improvement by dropping the front drive shaft. If your hubs are not locked the shaft is disconnected from the wheels and doesn't put any drag on the system. If you don't normally use your back seat, remove it and only put it in when needed, and any other way you can reduce weight. Driving habits are a key if you are prone to racing the guy next to you to the next light or trying for a record 0-60 every time you leave the line :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> . When ever possible use cruise control, it is less spastic than most drivers.

Good luck,

:)>-

i dont have cruise control, it broke before i have the truck.. i know cruise would help and keep me from speeding as much.. and i need to correct myself, the tires are 32's and no they havent been regeared YET. a reputable 4x4 shop quoted me about 1600 to re geard from and back with 4:10s i think

You should include your truck statistics in your signature, it helps in answering questions.

As far as the cruise control goes, check the basics: Fuse, connections, vacuum lines (including the vacuum dump switch located on the brake peddle, it may just need adjusting because it somehow got moved too close to the brake peddle arm), connection to the throttle.

Good luck,
