Just bought my first Bronco, while its not my first ford truck, its actually my 4th. My Bronco is a 1979, 400M, NP 435, NP 205. Currently running a D44 with trac loc, 9" with mini spool and 33's. Plans already in the works are Dana 60 front, 14 bolt rear, 6" lift and some 39.5's.

My daily driver is a 96 Short box extended cab F-250 with a dana 60 straight axle, 6" lift, 37's and a hot rodded diesel. Putting out over 300hp and 600 ft/lbs to the tires.

Welcome to BZ!!! How do you like the spool in the 9" rear axle???
I cant really say, i have never driven it. It was a buddy's of mine who is deploying for Iraq and needed to get rid of, so i paid him 800 bucks and its mine. I am currently deployed over seas until the 23rd, so i will drive it then. But i sold my jeep a few months ago, and i dont wheel the pavement princess and i need a good trail rig, and after buying the bronco i still have 3200 left over from the purchase of the jeep to make the bronco cooler.

Cage, probably. It will be a dedicated trail rig. I wasnt deployed to iraq, just overseas, i am navy, so no tax free pay for me, we didnt get to the exclusion zone. The money i did save went into upgraded injectors, intercooler, chip and some other tidbits on the princess.

Plans for the bronco Are

Dana 60/14 bolt

6" lift, extended radius arms/rear shackle flip with stock light duty springs

Welded rear, locked front, 39.5's rebuild the 400, keep the 4spd and go from there.

I made a cage for mine. A complete 12 pt cage that goes through the firewall and grille and ties into the frame
