floor pans

i was checking out all of the little things on my 78 when i reallized that the entire floor board was swiss cheese. theres a spot in the back on the drivers side that has droppd an inch(nice gap). now i watch alot of the truck shows and i have seen them replace the floor boards ,with a vehicle this should i replace the entire floor at once or should i do it piece by piece?

IF any of the support beams under the floor are rotted out, I would also repair/ replace those. The floorpan itself is quite thin.
