ok, so im going to be driving next year and i have a 79 ford bronco that only need a few things done to it to be the coolest car on the road. I definitly need new bumbers cause the chrome is peeling off the old ones. so i need front and a back. does anyone know any cheaper place to buy them then lmc truck book? i also need some new tires and ive been looking at swampers so if anyone has a good pair of them around and you want to sell them just let me know. i want blue bead locks too for it an i was wondering is there anything thats fake that looks like bead locks cause i really like the wheels i have now and i dont really want to get new ones just to get bead locks so if anyone can help me with that. and thats about all i need for it. :)

thanks for the help

Welcome to Bronco Zone!!! The 79 Bronco looks good from the pics, and I know you'll have fun learning to drive it. You can check with Bronco Graveyard for new bumpers. Since real beadlock wheels are not legal to use on the road, some companies like Mickey thompson have come out with 'fake' beadlock rims. Check with Summit Racing or JEG's for the rims in a 5x5.5" bolt pattern, JSM84

Looks good. In fact it looks just like mine except for the square lights and mirrors! Congrats on joining the club. Looks like it's in good shape, better hang onto it. It's getting harder and harder to find 'em like that.

For your bumpers you could try a junk yard (we have pick and pulls around here) and any 74 i believe to 79 truck front bumper will fit. Or Ebay would be another place to look. As far as the beadlocks I have Mickey Thompson classic lock IIs on my bronco with red anodized beadlocks and they MAKE my bronco. Theyre not cheep and kind of a pain to wash but they sure do look spiffy! As far as the nerf bars check out smittybuilt. They may have something that will work on your truck. My parents have a set on their 94 centurion and they have saved that truck when its gotten T boned multiple times and still look pretty much brand new. For tires check Craigslist and Ebay may have something. Ive found a couple of sets on craigslist where people bought them brand new and found out they HATE noisy tires. (apparently they need a louder stareo) and are willing to part with them for reasonable prices. But if you do go with LMC be forwarned that to ship 2 mirrors was like 28 bucks. in 1 box. So LMC apparently ships their stuff via the arab oil shipping company. NOT CHEEP!

Your are fixing to start driving and you starting out in a Bronco that nice? Dang you are lucky, I started out driving a 79 F150 when I turned 16, drove it thoughout high school and now I drive it to college. I have a 79 Bronco that I drive occasionally to college too! Im now 19. Dad gave me the 79 F150 I bought the 79 Bronco and I also bought a 73 F100. I won't settle for any other brand, Ford is the way to go.
