Well, I just bought my first Bronco, an '89, and I love the thing! I've wheeled all my life with big pickups and little, even a Jeep Cherokee, but this truck is an absolute blast. She needs some work, there's some exterior rust along the bottom edges, over the rear wheelwells, and the tailgate needs a little assistance, but I've got nothing but time as I'm medically retired (not to mention I got a killer deal on it)! My Bronco came with a box of stuff, and lying right on top? A Bronco Graveyard catalog, which led me to the website, which led me here. I'm really looking forward to learning more about my truck, thanks for the site!

Welcome to the Zone >:D< <'> . :-B like she has lots of potential. If you decide to replace the metal over the rear wheel wells, cut the welds that hold it to the inner well or replace the inner well also. It's a bit of work, but worth it. Depending on the tail gate condition, it may be better to replace it. The bottom rust can be slowed down and due to how it starts and the structure of the gate there it generally can't be completely removed. A new one can be treated to eliminate the problem that creates that condition from starting.

Good luck,

:)>-

Thanks for the welcome! I'll definitely fix the inner wheelwells as they have rusted along the edge also. As far as the tailgate, I think I'll trim the rusted areas out, patch it, and then coat the inside with Master series. I'd rather not buy a new gate ($275 would represent about 49% of the purchase price! :-" )
