Howdy,

I just bought a 85 Bronco2 && want to put a lift kit on it that will make it look more aggressive. I'm not going to drive it off road, so what size suspension do you guys recommend? I've heard that a 2" suspension lift and a 3" body lift with bfg 31" all-terrains would look good, and wouldn't decrease the mpg or ride of the vehicle that much. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

hmm.

honestly im not too fond of people who lift their vehicles and dont take em offroad.

but i guess ill help.

most people who do that do what your thinking... body lift.. so the setup you have in mind right now isnt bad for your needs.

but if you wanted good mpg you messed up right off the bat when you bought your bronco. even more so if it has a 351.... stock your looking at 13mpg seeing how yours has a carb.. witht he setup your looking at you are going to get about 10..... if its a standard less mpg.... just a little tho...

so the setup your looking at is fine for your intentions....

i suggest you get bfg mud-terrains. much more tire close price....

good luck

chrsitoph, welcome to Bronco Zone!!! While I'm not a fan of body lifts for safety reasons, I think your Bronco II would look more aggressive with a 4" suspension lift and 31" tires. I put a Rancho 4" susp kit on my 86-1/2 Ford Ranger 4.0L, with 31" BFG mud terrains. It looked awesome, just couldn't keep the manual tranny together...had it rebuilt 3 times before selling the truck.

Check out James Duff for lift kits and other mods for your BII. JSM84
