Sounds like a primary wiring problem, and could be as simple as a bad ground.

Do you have a diagram for your engine wiring?

are all the ignition parts you replaced stock and for the correct year?

I'm not doubting you...just had parts guys pull wrong parts for me before and made my life very difficult.

I think you have been there for a long time ;) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> .

Sounds like you have thrown away a lot of perfectly good parts and money :-& . It's time to set back and do some real troubleshooting before you spend the equivalent to the National Budget.

What year truck do you have? Please add your truck vitals to your signature. It helps get the right advice and perhaps the right answer.

Good luck,

I've got one of those haynes books but I don't see anything in the trouble shooting part that describes my issue. Like It done it the first day I was back home and now I haven't had the problem again but it might do it at anytime so I don't think it would be a short coming and going like that but it mightr b I don't really no how to check that stuff out.

It's almost impossible to diagnose problems when they don't exist at the time. If your problem is that intermittent, you may have to wait until it becomes more common.

Try to be aware of the factors that are in place when the problem does pop up, ( temp of the eng., ambient temp, conditions such as rain, heat, heavy driving, lots of traffic, etc...or just after startup....)

I would also go back over each component in a logical order and make sure they were installed properly , with all fasteners snug, etc.

Did you put the silicone grease on the module? (very important) and lastly make sure the inside of the dist. is clean and the air gap is proper.

after checking everything, with luck the problem will not surface again.

Good Luck.

Dont forget to check the EEC power relay too. relays are good for intermitant problems. Corosion is usually a problem with that too. Should be up under the dash on the driver side according to mitchell on demand.
