Anybody have or familiar with Fiberglass hoods? Just looking for a little insight on em'. Maybe some websites. My current hood has a little damage from the wore out hinges and a little rust in the corners.

86monster, welcome to Bronco Zone!!!

The best source for your 86 for a glass hood or front clip is US Body. They offer a stock unit, or one with a built-in, 2" cowl. The Cervini's hoods are top quality but not offered for 80-86 ( last I looked).

While fiberglass is going to be lighter than the steel panel, it has a few drawbacks. Strength being one, another is the effect of sunlight and UVrays. A used hood in good shape is about $50, and a new replacement aftermarket one is about $120. The glass hoods are $300-$400, then need a gelcoat or color to match your vehicle.

Take a few moments to post a little info in the "Intro" forum on your Bronco. I see you list your location as central TX. I'm up in Georgetown right now, pulling the motor on my 84. There are some great salvage yards in our area to find parts for your Bronco. JSM84

Good thought, fiberglass won't rust...

While my home is also along the coast in Palacios, I travel all the time to central and west TX. Call or take a trip out to Harold's salvage yard off of 183 one day and look around. They have about 14-15 Broncos way in the back, and several F-150's. Good luck!!!
