I just bought the Roadster half doors for my EB. when I got the inserts the first thing I noticed was that the inserts were "flimsey" I remember reading in OFF ROAD mag when installing fiberglass fenders to first spray the fenders with rubberized bed coating this helps prevent small rocks from being thrown up and cracking or chipping the fenders.

I went down to CHECKER AUTO and bought a can of duplicolor rubberized truck bed coating, I used one can per insert "I think it was a little too much" but when finished the inserts felt more "firm" hope this is a start..

I have no experence installing one myself, never even seen one up close (I've see a bunch of the Jeep ones)that beening said I have read up on them quite a bit. The common theme always seems to be that it's never as easy as just bolting it on to the body mounts, there's a skill set required that is equal to or harder than doing conventional bodywork.I would be very interested in hearing about your progress and overall experence as you go along. I live in New England and rust is a never ending battle! Best of luck with your project!
